Secret resolutions

Ages ago someone has told me that if I tell my dream loudly it won't come true.
Is it true? What do you think? Is the same with New Year's resolutions? Won't risk and I won't tell you my New Year's resolutions. I have hidden them in my project which I made sometime ago and have shown in my small exhibition in the Westhope College ( btw if you want to learn some of techniques which I have shown on this piece, pop in to the Westhope College and book art journal classes with me! lol )

This week's Stampotique challenge theme is New Year's Resolution.

My fav colours

There is no chance I can make a project using my favourite colours! Why? Because I love all colours. 

Choice of music, colours etc. depend on my mood the day when I create. This time I choose yellow with white and black (my all time fav). 

As you probably know looking at my artworks I love using a lot of colours in my projects. It is great sitting in my studio and creating choosing and mixing colours together. But the best thing is I was given an opportunity to share my interest in colours and techniques. In November I'm running two short workshops in Westhope college and from February I will run regular art journal classes in Westhope college!!! How exiting! I really looking forward to it and I hope I will meet some of you there.

Back to my today's project...I made it for Stampotique Originals challenge - favourite colours.

I published my first project as a DT member for Stampotique Originals challenge blog on 8th August 2012. Long long time ago...Amazing journey! Thank you ladies!
This weeks Stampotique challenge theme is 'Refresh it'. On my art journal pages you will find a stamp which I used on my first project for Stampotique blog - 'Heads'. I really like this stamp, it is time to refresh it!

Icing...

Wooohooo, articles written, projects for next few days made. Only one 'small' crochet blanket and a few more walls to paint and I will be free to enjoy working in my studio. Hopefully...

Sometime ago I was playing with textures and Tattered Angels Glimmer mists. I bought five of them a few years ago and still have got them. I don't know why I keep them probably because I love them and treasure them. I will buy more after winning the lottery on Tuesday ;)

My dear friend said that some areas of my page look like icing. I promise it isn't. Haven't got any icing at home, a lot of chocolate - yes, but no icing. The pages are made from pieces of Sodalicious paper, masking tape, kitchen towel, cardboard, white gesso and of course mists - three colours. As always doesn't matter how hard I try I can't make a project without 13arts product. This time I used 13arts Splash! white for the splashes on my pages.

The Way + video

Today we had the first snow this winter! It only lasted few minutes but anyway it was great to see a little signs of winter and not only rain and rain...Talking about rain. We have a lot of rain in Shropshire, water is everywhere! Because I'm fed up with all this rain I use a lot of colours around me. I made a very colourful art journal page...

I made this page some time ago. It is a quick and easy one but I had a lot of fun making it.

viva la France

To, że angole nie lubią się z francuzami nie od dziś wiadomo. W internecie znajdziecie mnóstwo historyjek na ten temat, nie tylko o Napoleonie.
Uwielbiam Francję na wakacje, z osiedleniem się tam trochę gorzej. Tanie domy, piękne widoki, dobre wino...jest o czym myśleć, jakby nie ten język! Nigdy nic nie wiadomo, dlatego zacznę się rozglądać za ćwiczeniami 'język francuski dla debili językowych' ;)

Somewhere on the internet you can find '30 reasons why English people hate the French' lol. I need to find out why French people hate the British ;) I like France as a place for holidays but not sure about living there...especially when I'm thinking about the language. If I needed 29years to learn English how long I will need to learn French, I wonder? Two hundred years?! But we never know what life will bring us, maybe I should buy 'French for dummies' ;)

Zapraszam Was na blog Stampotique gdzie znajdziecie nowe wyzwanie. Stwórzcie pracę, która nawiązuje do Francji. Nie pierwszy i zapewne nie ostatni raz, miałam problem z interpretacją tematu. W szafkach brak motywów francuskich a ślimaka ( albo żaby :P ) przecież nie przykleje. Użyłam ilku stempli Stampotique.

Have a look at Stampotique designers challenge blog where you can find a new challenge theme - French Flair. I had a problem with this challenge because I didn't want a huge snail on my tag, did I? ;) I stamped Top Hat ( 4020.N) instead of the snail. As always you can find on my projects backgrounds a few more Stampotique stamps: Honeycomb, Dream definition

Oczywiście w mojej pracy nie mogło również zabraknąć stempli i papierów Sodalicious. To już uzależnienie ;) Oprócz powyższych oczywistości, dochodzą również oczywistości takie jak: duża ilość kleju i farb akrylowych, perełki w płynie i markery Sharpie. Do stempla użyłam ulubionego wodoodpornego Archival Ink Jet Black.

Also I used Sodalicious stamp and papers - which I love and can't live without them ;) Other materials on this project: a lot of glue and acrylic paints, liquid pearls, Sharpie. Of course I used Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black for stamping.

Czy wspominałam, że zakochałam się w rysowaniu nitką? Nie używam igły, nitkę przyklejam klejem lub gel medium. Pierwszy raz użyłam tej techniki na początku roku o tutaj a potem tutaj. Od niedawna zaczęłam dodawać potworaki z nitki wszędzie gdzie się da. To pierwsza strona i na pewno nie ostatnia...

Did I say that I have fallen in love with thread drawing?I use a glue or gel medium instead of a needle. 
My first thread drawing you can find here and here. This is my first page using thread drawing but you can be sure, not last.
