What to do with colouring pages part 1

Some of you may know that I create colouring pages. Most of them are made especially for adults but many of them because of a cute characters can be a great challenge for a little younger ones too. I create very detailed pages. Most of them are covered by pattern in whole, not only a part of the page. Why is that? I love detailed patterns (a dress from a fabric with my pattern is my dream) but also I can use them in my mixed media artwork.

I know that buying colouring pages separately (not in a book) is more expensive ( there is a few reasons for that but this post is not about that) but if you really like the illustration and have a few ideas how to colour it or use it, I think it is worth to go for it.

Remember, if you buy a colouring page, you can print as many copies as you want! If you don't like a finished effect you can print one more page. What paper to choose? It really depends what you want to do with it. For this post I used my home printer (Epson XP620 - nothing fancy as you can see, normal home printer) and a piece of smooth Bristol.

Please check out my Etsy shop! You will find a lot of colouring pages there. More to follow!

I coloured a centre of the pattern using colouring pencils and then I sprayed 2-3 mists - Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist. You can use whatever mist you have. There is only one rule when applying mediums - it needs to be transparent - you want to see your pattern!

The big surprise was when I turn the page. In places where the lines of pattern were (on a right side of the page), the mist soak in and gave a really nice effect.

I've made a quick card to show you one of the ways how to use colouring pages, more to follow!

a few art journal pages...

It is a strange thing. While drawing using ink I'm not able to create my art journal pages using mixed media techniques. That is why some weeks I'm only drawing and some only playing with mixed media techniques. Not sure how my brain works but it is hard to work differently. At least I can crochet and knit whenever I want ;)

Because the big event is coming I needed to take a brush in my hand and try to remember how to do stuff. I created a few art journal pages and changed and add something to old ones. If you would like to see how I work, you will be able to find me on Everything Art stand in NEC Birmingham on Saturday 7th November. Please pop in and say hello! I will be demonstrating mixed media and art journaling techniques. Some of these techniques and exercises I will be showing on my Wanderlust 2016 video in July.

Maybe you have already heard about the exciting, inspirational journey in mixed-media and art journaling that I’m teaching on next year? It’s called Wanderlust and it’s a year long online course that includes 50 videos from 26 different teachers.

Being a member of the class also give you lots of other different kinds of activities on the Everything Art online community, creative challenges and exercises with prizes from our sponsors (including Golden, Daler-Rowney, 7Gypsies and DecoArt), interaction with teachers, motivating discussions, creative games, topics that will help you understand art and find a best way to express yourself, discounts from our partners and lots more!!

Wanderlust 2016 has a promotional price until the 15th of December 2015. You can buy the whole Wanderlust 2016 course for only £65 (approx $100 / €89). After this date the regular price of the class is  £99 (approx $152 / €137), so don’t hesitate and grab your seat now to enjoy the whole of 2016 with inspiration.

For this price you are going to travel with us through the whole world of creativity getting to know media, products and enjoying the variety that teachers from all over the world can offer you.

Ok...here they are...

New stamps

This month Stampotique Originals stamps had a new release.
Very exiting time for me! More Agathas and her friends.

This time there are 3 new Agathas - with flower, witch and with antlers, Nina as Frankie, Owl, Reindeer and Agatha's Watering Can. Owl and Watering Can are small and are great also for backgrounds. The same with flower which Agatha holds. There are plenty of ways of using them.
Here and here and here you can see how Samantha Read used my new stamps.
More ideas and inspiration you can find on Stampotique Challenge blog. I love what Stampotique DT is creating with them!
If you created a project with my new or old stamps please, show me!

All the new images you can find on Stampotique website. But they are coming to the UK too! Some of the new images you can find in Crafting Time and Art From The Heart shops already! Check out Craftin Time if you are looking for very popular Agatha's Parrot (be quick only 2 left!).

My new and old images can be found in these UK shops:
Crafting Time
Art From The Heart
A Sprinkle Of Imagination (new images coming soon)
Craftique (I saw that Agatha's Cup is still available there!)

I'm sure they will be available around the world soon.

Here is a sneak peek of my art journal page with Mr Owl which I have made for ColourArte blog. This is my last project for them. I love their products but it was time to say goodbye to the amazing team.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, long, if you are in the UK!

Back to things which I love the most

Time for a next step in my crafty journey.
After a few years as a DT member of some amazing design teams I decide to change it. In a few weeks time I won't be a member of any design team. You won't find any of my projects on others blogs but I will still create for Craft Stamper - I simply love that magazine!

Feeling? Strange but nice.

I'm going to spend my time creating what I really love. I'm coming back to mixing my illustration with mixed media techniques. I also will draw, draw and draw...you will see a lot of my illustration in a near future!  I have a few projects in mind, can't say anything, not yet. But first thing first, need to prepare myself to sell some original paintings and prints. Teddies will be first...

This project I prepared for a swap. Unfortunately the package is still somewhere between UK and Ireland after more than two weeks from sending. If someone will find it in bushes please give me a shout!

Love swaps!

I have made these boxes to hide some gifts.
They are on their way to Ireland with other goodies.

I used ColourArte products to make them.
Today on ColourArte blog you can see how I wrapped them.

Ok...back to work, a lot to do before holidays!

Head full of ideas + a few words in Polish

After family time (my sister stayed with us for a few days), back to work!
My head is full of ideas which is a good sign after so many days without mojo. I hope I will be able to use some of my ideas before holidays. The most important things, like sending new stamps designs to Stampotique headquarters, done! It is hard to express how exited I am. Stamps from previous releases you can find on Stampotique site.

In less than two weeks I'm going to Luxemburg to meet my friend Jaine and other crafty girls. More events to be exited to! ;) Hope to bring even more inspiration from this trip!

Today is the last day to sign up for my Facebook giveaway. If you are on FB please check my FB page to win Agatha the Cook and her Cup stamps.
Don't worry I will have a little giveaway on my blog too.

Oh, one more thing for Agatha's fans in the UK. Check A Sprinkle Imagination shop, Agatha's Cup and Agatha's Parrot still available but be quick if you want to have them!

Dziś również kilka słów po polsku. Dlaczego? Bo wybieram się na mój pierwszy zlot w Polsce! Najwyższy czas...W czerwcu będę w Warszawie na Zlocie. Kto się wybiera?

Wiem, że wiele z Was pyta o moje stemple. Niestety stemple Stampotique nie są dostępne w Polsce. Jednak jeżeli chcielibyście być w nich posiadaniu, dajcie znać.

Do zobaczenia w Warszawie!

Check this place out and you will see!

I haven't made cards for ages and frankly I don't feel them anymore. I can't make them anymore!
This is a quick card for Stampotique challenge.

I used my Agatha Heart stamp and a lot of paints. The heart is also painted using a fantastic dimensional paint - Radiant Gels from ColourArte. I really like these paints. Colours are amazing and the texture oh...just yummy ;)
