Back to beginning

Where was I? In fields, garden etc. The weather in the UK has been so nice this summer that there wasn't any chance to sit in my studio. But there is also the other reason...simply I couldn't find mojo. I couldn't create anything...no ideas and everything which I made was rubbish :P
Last week I was so depressed (lol) that I thought about leaving my two lovely DT's. Don't even ask...
The only rescue for me in the situations like this is back to the beginning...what does it mean? Back to things which I like to create most.

Here is a spread which I have made for Stampotique Originals challenge.
The only stamp on these pages is Raindrops designed by myself. The rest of the images are painted. I used Galeria acrylic paints, oil pastels, colour pencils and TCW stencils designed by Kasia.

  1. I know what you mean, Magda! When your Mojo abandons you, you feel so lost. Your very being is involved. I hope you will realize that you don't need that ol' Mojo, for what you seek is inside you. You did the right thing in just picking up a paint brush and starting--starting is often difficult, but you did it! And you have created something very beautiful here! Welcome back!

  2. What a beautiful page Magda, I have the same issue from time to time as I'm sure every artsy person does. I have to say that sometimes we just have to get into that journal and create whatever comes and I can tell you what you've created here is awesome!!

  3. Magda this is wonderful, I love the colours and the way the acrylics and pastels look together. I wish I had just a fraction of your talent! :-D xx

  4. Glad you took up your paints and pastels again Magda, it isn't pleasant when your creative side seems to have abandoned you and you feel so low. What you have done here is so beautiful, i agree with Sue, i wish i had just some of your talent. Hope you are able to carry, your inspiration is a beautiful thing :-) xxx

  6. To give up would be a real shame....you are so talented and have inspired me so many times when I have felt just like you do. I adore your work and always look forward to seeing your next creations.

  8. glad you are recovered Magda and a lovely page. So now what you mean about mojo and depression. Am doing the stampotique ATC swap & 365 art journal calendar , both of which force me to make art each month even if nothing else happens. x
